Meet Dax (aka Rupert), a gentle 3-year-old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix looking for the right home. At about 90 pounds, he's a mellow, affectionate companion who loves attention, couch cuddles, and spending time with his people.Dax enjoys walks but has a low-key personality. He's house-trained, kennel-trained, and lives well with another dog and a cat. He’s also known for the classic "Pyr paw," gently asking for pets with a paw on your arm.Originally a feral rescue from Missouri, Dax can be cautious with new people and dogs but forms strong bonds with patience and trust.We love Dax dearly, but we've learned he's uncomfortable around young children. He would do best in a calm, child-free home with an experienced adopter who will appreciate his gentle nature and help him thrive.
