Story
Dolly is a special girl looking for a home that's right for her! She can be pretty nervous and people are still a little scary, but she'll take treats as long as she can get to them. She'll need someone patient that can help her get to where she needs to go, which is everywhere if you ask her! This animal has a neurological condition that causes her to be unsteady in her back legs with a high-stepping gait. While this was likely a condition she was born with that is unlikely to either worsen or improve (cerebellar hypoplasia), it is possible this could be degenerative and progress over time. She will need ongoing monitoring with the adopter's veterinarian. Her foster says "Dolly is the kind of dog to have her person and love that person immensely. She is absolutely a Velcro dog and considers herself a lap dog. She is an anxious dog but is super food motivated which helps her through uncomfortable situations. She is a really good mix of active during the day and couch potato at night"
