Right now, he’s shy and unsure, but it’s clear he has a kind and gentle heart. Pretty Boy is dog-friendly and slowly starting to open up as he learns what safety and care feel like. He’s looking for a patient, loving home where he can finally relax and discover life beyond survival. With time and trust, this sweet soul is sure to thrive. Story
Stella is a young Newfoundland mix who, has spent her life on the streets before coming into our care. She’s still adjusting to this new world, and we’re slowly getting to know her. Stella is shy at first, but there’s a softness in her eyes that tells us she’s ready to learn what love and safety feel like. She’s dog-friendly and taking everything one careful step at a time. This beautiful girl is looking for a calm, patient home where she can settle in, build trust, and finally know what it means to belong. The adoption fee includes Vaccinations: This includes: Rabies Leptospirosis Distemper Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus Parvovirus Parainfluenza Lyme Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma Deworming Spay/Neuter Microchipping If the dog required any other vet treatment or surgery while in our care, this is also included in the adoption fee. Story
Meet Teddy!Joined us in: January 2026About Teddy:• A sweet, affectionate girl who loves attention — belly rubs are her absolute favorite!• Enjoys being outside, going for walks, and soaking up fresh air.• Knows her sit cue and is very treat-motivated, making training fun and rewarding.• Forms very strong bonds with her people and seeks reassurance often.Understanding Teddy:Teddy thrives in calm, one-on-one environments. In quiet settings, she settles quickly, shows no reactivity, and is easily redirected with treats (liver treats are a favorite!). She is incredibly affectionate and eager to connect. In more confined spaces with multiple people approaching her, Teddy can become overwhelmed and anxious. When she feels insecure, you may notice pacing, circling, and difficulty settling. If approached while in this heightened state, she may jump and nip at sleeves. This behaviour appears rooted in anxiety rather than resource guarding, as it is not tied to a specific person or item. With structure, management, and continued behaviour support, Teddy has shown she is capable of progress. She is doing well with muzzle training and will likely need to wear a muzzle when meeting strangers or during veterinary visits for everyone’s comfort and safety.Medical & Behaviour Support:• Currently on anti-anxiety medication (gabapentin and trazodone), which must be continued long-term until adopters work closely with their veterinarian to assess progress.• A consultation with a family veterinarian shortly after adoption is strongly recommended.• A positive-reinforcement trainer is highly encouraged to continue her desensitization work. Her perfect match:• A calm home with no more than two adults initially.• No children in the home.• A structured, patient household committed to long-term behaviour support.• Adopters willing to provide a secure safe space (separate room or crate) when guests visit.• Someone comfortable continuing muzzle training and using it appropriately in group settings or at the vet.• A family open to an initial two-week PAWS trial period. Some extra facts about Teddy:• Extremely loving and devoted once she feels safe.• Thrives with routine, consistency, and gentle guidance.• Enjoys positive reinforcement training and responds very well to treats.• Shines brightest when she knows exactly what to expect from her environm
