I`d like to formally introduce myself: I`m Watson, professional treat enthusiast, certified people-lover, and part-time kangaroo. If you`ve ever dreamed of sharing your life with a big fluffy best friend who occasionally forgets that all four paws are supposed to stay on the ground, I might be your guy.I`m still a young fellow, so I`m learning the finer points of being a well-mannered gentleman. The good news is I`ve already got a few tricks up my furry sleeve and I`m very eager to learn more, especially if snacks are involved. I adore attention and am always ready to be part of whatever you`re doing. Whether it`s an adventure outdoors or relaxing together afterward, I`m happiest when I`m with my people.I get along well with respectful animal friends and would likely fit into many different homes. Like a lot of young dogs, I`m still working on sharing some of my prized treasures, so I`ll need an adopter who can help me continue building good habits through positive training and patience. In return, you`ll get a sweet, goofy companion with a giant heart, a fluffy coat, and enough enthusiasm to brighten even the dullest day.If you`re looking for a lovable young sidekick who`s equal parts cuddle bug, comedian, and eager student, I think we should meet. Meet Holmes!This handsome 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Australian Shepherd, and Border Collie mix is looking for a family who can offer him the consistency and reassurance he needs to truly shine.Holmes is a sweet, affectionate boy who can be a little overwhelmed by busy environments. When he`s feeling unsure, he`ll often seek comfort from his people, leaning in for affection or putting his paws up to ask for reassurance. He can also be quite vocal, expressing himself with whining or barking when he`s nervous.Once outside, Holmes seems much more relaxed and enjoys his walks, where he has lovely leash manners. He would likely thrive in a home where he can get out for regular walks and enjoy a calmer routine. Holmes has lived with cats before. His history with children is unknown but he would likely do well with calm, respectful children. He did live with another dog previously as well, and seems to be a bit shy with meeting new dogs, so dogs that will allow him the space to warm up slowly would be a better match for him. Like many smart working-breed mixes, Holmes is extremely food motivated! He`ll do just about anything for a treat, though he does take treats a little roughly and eats his meals very quickly. A slow feeder bowl is recommended to help him eat at a healthier pace.This nice young dog has so much potential. With patience, positive reinforcement, and a stable home, Holmes is sure to grow in confidence and become a loyal, loving companion.
