Story
We would like to welcome Thelma to the CHS family. Coming to the shelter as a stray we don't really know to much about her history. We are guessing that she is about 3 years old. She is going to need to be the only dog in the home, as she does not like to share her humans with other dogs. She is dog social but does not like to have dogs come running up into her face if she is being loved on by her people. The home we are looking for must have experience with this giant breed, they must understand that she is weighing right around 125lbs right now, but needs to put a little weight on still. They must understand how expensive it will be to care for and feed this wonderful girl. She is so very very sweet and so loving. If you are interested in meeting this girl we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved application on file we will then schedule a meet and greet for you to come and meet her. Story
Meadow came in with her sister Misty. They had been abandoned in an apartment for a month. The landlord was providing them food but not much contact. Meadow is a very shy girl, who warms up quickly. She has the cutest Kangaroo style bounce when playing. She would do best in a patient home that can help her adjust to the world. Everything outside our kennels is scary to her. If you are willing to put in the work she is going to be an amazing dog.
