Story
5 years old, I have had him since he was 8 weeks! He was sadly abused and mistreated under a trainer’s board and train facility when he was just a few months old. It flipped a switch in his behavior and he went from a social, happy puppy to a fearful and protective one. As a college student and first time dog owner, I did the best I could to continue to socialize him and see if things would go back to normal with our daily life, not finding out about his treatment at the board and train until years later. Dewey needs a confident, patient owner and a comfy couch to fit on, in a calm home with someone he trusts to handle him well with his needs. He spends his days not loving long walks, snoozing on a cool tile floor or cozy bed, and prefers a home with no kiddos. He does love other dogs (maybe not in large groups as we know) and is playful, and I believe he would do really well with a furry best friend.
