Story
We adopted our sweet Denver at the Austin Animal Shelter in January 2020 when he was about 2 years old. He is now about 8 years old. Our best guess at his breed is a mix of Anatolian Shepherd and Norwegian Elkhound. His new home must love him and appreciate his sweet, playful, and gentle personality. Daily walks are a must, and he would ideally have a big backyard. Kids and dogs are great for him. I’m not sure about cats. Past experience shows he is curious and wants to interact or chase, but he backs off of the cat swats at him. Denver is really such a good dog. We love him so much, and it’s hard to consider rehoming him. The only reason we are considering this is I think he might be happier in a home that can give him more attention. We would only part with him if we know the next home is a better home for him than ours.
