I came from a bad situation and no one knows how but somehow I sustained a major injury resulting in broken bones and nerve damage. Due to this injury I am now unable to control my bladder or bowels. Sweet, friendly, eager, affectionate—this girl is sunshine in dog form. If Golden Retrievers had a motivational speaker division, Elsa would be the CEO. But her start wasn’t golden at all. Elsa spent her whole puppyhood tied to a tether outside a trailer, watching the world from a spot of dirt she never deserved. No toys. No soft beds. No one to run to. No one to run with. And yet… her heart never quit. When she first came to us, she had a little food aggression around other dogs—understandable when you’ve never known if your next meal was guaranteed. But with time, consistency, and the realization that she’s finally safe, Elsa has blossomed beautifully. She’s now doing wonderfully with her dog friends and has never shown an ounce of aggression toward people. Humans, in her eyes, are made of magic—especially the ones willing to pet her. She wants desperately to be a confident dog, and she is a confident dog with her people. She is shy with anyone new and does best with a quiet household, preferably a single female or couple that she can give her trust and her heart to. She is fine with children, but young ones tend to scare her with fast movements. Rua is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She's also capable of jumping over gates with a beautiful graceful leap. She should have another confident dog in her home to learn from and she loves to play with other dogs as well as toys. She needs a fenced yard, minimum of 4ft as well because she can get spoked easily. She is such a sweet girl who spent her short life having puppies and now she's ready to have a home and love of her own.
