Sensitive, Sweet, and Full of Puppy Potential — Meet Kelso Kelso is a 52-pound, under-a-year-old Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever mix who is still very much a puppy at heart. He was surrendered due to separation anxiety, and he’s looking for a home that understands that his “big feelings” just mean he bonds deeply. Kelso can be shy at first, but once he warms up, his playful, puppyish personality shines. He’s affectionate, friendly, energetic, and eager to connect with his people. Because of his attachment issues, Kelso can become destructive when left alone and will need patience, structure, and training to build his confidence and independence. He may do best in a home where someone is around more often, or with an adopter committed to working through separation anxiety in a positive, consistent way. Kelso isn’t looking for just any home — he’s looking for his person. With time, guidance, and reassurance, he has the potential to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. If you’re ready to invest in a young dog who just needs security and direction, Kelso is ready to give you his whole heart.
