Meet COCO Police Officer Coco is a spayed female Papillon, 6½ years old & currently rocking 12 pounds (although losing another pound or two would be ideal). Yes, she gets along with other dogs BUT if they're a little zany, crazy or a little out of line in her mind, she goes into control mode. Hence... Police Officer Coco. And cats—well, she's a little TOO obsessed with them, even when the kitty is very clearly trying to say "NOPE!!" so no cats for Miss Coco! Kids - older, respectful kids are ok & fun. Tiny tots - not so much. If you were to ask Coco what SHE would like in her furever home, I think she'd tell you she'd love being your one & only. She'd also like someone active who will take her on walks AND adventures (she loves car rides!), get down on the ground & play with her, but also appreciate that she's a pretty independent girl. Coco likes staying close to her person, but if you're looking for a lap warmer or a pup you can hold & carry around, she's probably not your girl. She's a beautiful combination of energetic & chill and isn't too yappy unless she has something to say or warn you about. She's housetrained, crate trained (seriously, THE quietest dog ever in a crate!!), leash trained & knows sit, down & come—although that recall isn't quite as impressive if there's a lizard or squirrel involved. You know how some dogs hack a little after getting a drink? WELL... Miss Coco has THE most dramatic hack ever. While she was getting her dental, our vet took a look & discovered she has an elongated soft palate. The only time we've noticed it bothering her is after drinking water. Honestly, Coco is pretty dang close to the whole package. She's smart, funny, active, independent & already knows how to be a great little companion. I have a feeling LOTS of people are going to see that beautiful Papillon face & want her. She asked us to find her an adventure buddy - someone to do life with in & outside the house - & that's exactly what we're going to do.
