Story
🎆 Meet Glory! 🎆 Adoption Fee: $400 Location: Troy, MO Some dogs simply sparkle… and this beautiful girl certainly lives up to her name. 💖 Glory is a gorgeous 2½-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a true zest for her new life. Every day is an adventure, and she greets it with a constantly wagging tail, endless curiosity, and the sweetest kisses to thank the people who love her. Her foster mom says Glory has the energy of a puppy! One of her absolute favorite things is racing around the securely fenced yard, discovering all the wonderful sights, smells, and sounds that were missing from her previous life. Watching her experience simple freedoms for the very first time is nothing short of heartwarming. Like many former breeder dogs, collars, harnesses, and leashes are completely new to her. She’s taking everything one gentle step at a time and is learning to accept them with patience and positive encouragement. Once she gains confidence, we think she’ll truly enjoy neighborhood walks to help burn off some of that joyful puppy energy. Glory is currently being fostered with two Cavalier sisters who are teaching her what it means to simply be a dog. Having a confident canine companion has made such a difference in her journey, and her constantly wagging tail tells the whole story. She’s discovering that life can be safe, fun, and full of love. Meal times have become another favorite part of her day! She’s adjusted beautifully to a high-quality diet with freeze-dried raw toppers and is happily learning that treats are pretty wonderful too. Fresh, cool water, a soft cozy bed, air conditioning, kindness, and gentle hands—these everyday comforts are all brand new to Glory, and she embraces each one with gratitude. Glory has received all of her veterinary care and is ready to begin her next chapter. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, has had her dental cleaning, and is on monthly heartworm prevention. She is healthy, happy, and ready to find the family she’s always deserved. Because she continues to build confidence, Glory would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help guide her. She would also do best with a family where someone is home much of the time and can continue helping her discover the world with calm, gentle, positive reinforcement. She’s still young, active, and playful, making her a wonderful match for an active family ready to include her in their daily adventures. Could Glory be the missing piece your family has been searching for? Visit Leia’s Hope to read her full bio and submit an application. Your best friend may be waiting with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. ❤️ At Leia’s Hope, every adoption changes two lives—the dog who is rescued and the family whose heart grows because they chose rescue. Thank you for believing that every dog deserves a second chance and for making rescue your first choice. Leia’s Hope is a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue. All of our dogs live in foster homes. Applications typically take 7-10 business days to process. Meet and greets are scheduled only after an application is approved. We do not transport dogs; adopters must travel to the dogs location in Troy, MO for the meet and greet and adoption. Glory is a 15 year commitment, and her adopter must be prepared to love and support her for her lifetime. Leiashope.org
