MY RESCUE STORY
I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. Through no fault of my own, my time was running out, and my future was uncertain.
Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the second chance every dog deserves. Because of their kindness, I was able to leave that chapter behind and begin a new journey filled with hope, care, and new opportunities.
Now, I'm safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family of my own. I can't wait to share my life with people who will cherish me, create new memories with me, and give me the happy ending I've been waiting for.

MY PERSONALITY
When I first arrived at the care facility, I was scared and overwhelmed. I didn't want to eat, play, or interact much with the other dogs. Like many dogs experiencing a big life change, I needed some time to decompress and feel safe.
Thankfully, it didn't take long for my true personality to shine through. Once I settled in, I began enjoying walks with the staff and volunteers, playing with my dog friends, and showing off my healthy appetite. These days, I'm a much happier and more confident boy who loves being part of the action.
The people who know me best often compliment how smart and expressive I am. I don't bark excessively, but I do enjoy communicating my feelings and connecting with the people around me. I'm thoughtful, observant, and full of personality. Once I feel comfortable, you'll discover a sweet, energetic, and affectionate companion who is ready to share all of life's adventures with you.
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I'm friendly with people and genuinely enjoy human companionship. I can be a little shy when entering a new environment or meeting someone for the first time, but I adjust quickly and it doesn't take long before my sweet personality starts to shine.
I allow myself to be picked up, though I appreciate gentle, slow handling and a little time to feel comfortable before being suddenly lifted. Once I know I'm safe, I'm happy to relax and enjoy your company.
I've also been told I'm pretty cute and adorable, and honestly, I can't argue with that! With my charming looks, sweet nature, and affectionate personality, I have a way of winning people over wherever I go.
· With Dogs: I'm super friendly with my dog friends and absolutely love playing and socializing with them! I enjoy making new canine friends and am always excited to join in on playtime and fun activities.
I get along especially well with dogs of a similar size or smaller. Even when another dog is being a little pushy or rude, I prefer to keep the peace rather than engage in conflict. Instead of creating drama, I'll usually choose to walk away and focus on having a good time. My friendly, easygoing nature helps me build positive relationships with other dogs and makes me a wonderful companion both on two legs and four.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.
TRAINING & HABITS
I walk well on leash and follow my handler's lead nicely, making me a wonderful companion for daily walks and adventures. I have excellent manners around food and do not guard my meals from people or other dogs.
I enjoy communicating with my people and may bark when I want attention or have something to say, but I'm not a big barker overall. I simply like sharing my thoughts and feelings with those around me!
I know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel when it's time to relax. For potty habits, I prefer going outdoors and do best with a consistent outdoor potty routine. Overall, I'm a smart, well-adjusted boy who enjoys being part of the family and spending time with my people.
MY IDEAL HOME
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
SPECIAL NOTES
I may have had a difficult start in life, but you would never know it from the way I greet each day. I'm a happy, affectionate boy who loves people, enjoys making dog friends, and approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm.
One of my favorite things is being included in whatever my people are doing. Whether we're heading out for a walk, relaxing at home, or simply spending time together, I'm happiest when I'm part of the family. I have a wonderful balance of playful energy, intelligence, and affection that makes me a joy to be around.
The staff and volunteers often describe me as a bright, expressive boy who isn't afraid to communicate how he's feeling. I love connecting with people and forming strong bonds with those I trust. Once you get to know me, you'll discover a loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality.
I'm ready to leave my past behind and start the next chapter of my life with a family who will love me as much as I'll love them.
