Story
Sarge is a tiny 10-pound Papillon/Chihuahua mix with a fluffy coat, a gentle soul, and a future that is just beginning to unfold. At just 1–2 years old, he has already overcome a difficult start in life after being rescued from a massive hoarding and breeding situation where more than  190 dogs were removed. For much of his early life, Sarge knew very little about kindness or human connection. When Sarge first entered foster care, he was frightened and unsure of the world around him. Thanks to the patience and love of his foster mom, he has made beautiful progress. Each day brings more curiosity, more trust, and more confidence. Watching him discover what it means to be safe and loved has been incredibly rewarding.   Sarge is learning that people can be wonderful. He now adores lap time, soaking up attention, and being someone’s special little guy. While he still needs time to fully trust and build confidence, his potential is undeniable. With consistency, reassurance, and positive experiences, this boy is going to absolutely shine. We believe Sarge would thrive with a committed adopter who understands that confidence is built step by step. Regular walks and a securely fenced yard would help him continue gaining independence and courage. He would do best in a home with older children or adults who can give him the time and structure he needs.    Sarge is crate trained and totally housebroken.  He loves to go for walks on a leash and we feel that a fenced yard and another confident dog to be his mentor and best friend would be the best home setting for him. He is a beautiful work in progress, and the joy will be in watching him become the more confident, happy dog he was always meant to be — just a little delayed by circumstances beyond his control. If you’re ready to invest your heart in a dog with incredible promise, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 11, 2026, 4:14 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Miss Bee 2-Year-Old Papillon Mix Foster Placement Bio & Adoption Overview About Miss Bee Miss Bee is a sweet 2-year-old Papillon mix with a gentle soul and an expressive resting “bee” face. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her confident cuddle-bug personality shines through. She enjoys being close to her people and fully embraces her pampered-princess lifestyle. Miss Bee is fully house trained and has not required a crate during her time in foster care. She is a quiet, non-destructive house dog who does not mind a crate if needed, but settles well on her own. She does well with calm, respectful children. Due to her sensitive nature, a home with loud or non–dog-savvy children is not recommended. Miss Bee is selective with dogs and prefers polite canine companions. She is not phased by cats and can coexist peacefully with them. Grooming & Care Requirements Miss Bee will require grooming at a minimum of every three months for hygiene purposes. Her coat was previously shaved prior to entering foster care, and her foster mom is working carefully to allow her coat to regrow naturally and remain soft. Papillon-type coats should not be shaved, as the coat helps protect her skin from sunburn and environmental exposure. Miss Bee will require weekly brushing, which she genuinely enjoys and sees as part of her bonding and pampering routine. She loves sunshine and can often be found happily sunbathing, making coat protection and proper grooming especially important. Ideal Home & Transition Expectations Miss Bee is an easy-going dog with light transition expectations. She will do best in a calm, loving home that respects her boundaries while indulging her affectionate nature. Her ideal home includes adopters who appreciate small companion breeds; can maintain her grooming and brushing needs; provide a quieter household environment; and understand heselective dog preferences. With gentle consistency and affection, Miss Bee transitions easily and bonds quickly with her people. Summary Miss Bee is a soft, affectionate, sun-loving companion with a princess heart and a gentle spirit. She is seeking a home that will cherish her, maintain her coat properly, and enjoy a calm, cuddly best friendVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2026, 4:05 pm
