Meet Sissy!
If your idea of the perfect dog is one who wants nothing more than to curl up beside you, enjoy a quiet evening, and love you with her whole heart, then Sissy may be the companion you've been searching for.
Sissy is a gentle, affectionate little dog with a sweet and sensitive soul. She loves people and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. While she can be a little shy when first meeting someone new, it doesn't take long before her loving personality shines through.
Her foster says it best:
"Sissy is a wonderful little dog. She is extremely sweet and is affectionate with everyone she meets. She loves to lay next to you and share time. She is one of the easiest foster dogs I have had to date."
Sissy's Story
Sissy came to Tails of Hope-WI after being surrendered by a local family who had more dogs than they were able to care for.
Since entering foster care, Sissy has embraced the comfort and stability of home life. She has quickly shown everyone just how easy it is to fall in love with her gentle nature and calm demeanor.
Sissy has also received excellent veterinary care while in rescue. She has been spayed and received a full dental procedure to address her dental health. Thanks to the care she has received, she is feeling great and is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.
Sissy's Favorite Activities
Cuddling with her people
Napping in a warm, cozy spot
Quiet neighborhood walks
Watching TV on the couch
Relaxing at home
Spending one-on-one time with her favorite humans
Lounging beside you while you work or relax
Enjoying peaceful, low-key days
Sissy isn't looking for constant excitement or adventure. She is happiest when she can simply be near her people and enjoy life's quieter moments.
What Sissy Is Working On
Sissy has adjusted beautifully to foster life and has no major behavioral concerns.
She does very well on a routine and schedule, with little to no accidents in her foster home. She is also comfortable with crate time and has shown herself to be an easy, adaptable companion.
Because she can be a bit sensitive and shy in new situations, her foster family continues to help her build confidence through positive experiences and gentle exposure to the world around her.
Sissy's Ideal Home
Sissy would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy a predictable routine and plenty of affection.
She would be a wonderful fit for:
First-time dog owners
Families looking for a low-maintenance companion
Adults or families seeking a calm dog
People who enjoy quiet evenings at home
Anyone looking for a devoted cuddle buddy
Sissy coexists well with cats and would do best with other dogs who share her relaxed lifestyle. She enjoys canine companionship but prefers dogs who are calm and respectful rather than highly playful.
She also likes children but is not particularly interested in playing with them. She would much rather accept a few pets and then return to her favorite spot beside her people.
Why You'll Love Sissy
Sissy is one of those special dogs who asks for very little but gives so much in return. She is gentle, loving, easygoing, and content simply being close to the people she loves.
Whether she's curled up next to you on the couch, quietly following you from room to room, or taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, Sissy's sweet presence has a way of making everything feel a little calmer.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily spend her days by your side, Sissy is ready to meet you.
