With his intelligence and curiosity, he’d thrive in obedience school or with someone who loves to keep a clever dog engaged. Peter lives peacefully with an older female dog and is gentle and friendly with children. He’s also quite the character — curious about the world and loves to explore. He can jump fences like a pro, so he’ll need a secure home and an adopter who understands terrier smarts and spirit. (He currently wears a tracker when out exploring the yard.) Hi there! My name is Pip and I'm a 5 month old Male Rat Terrier and Chihuahua mix. I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!
