Story
Meet Rubicon! Rubicon came to us from the San Diego Humane Society on April 5th, and only two days later, he was chosen to live in a Foster home. Rubicon is a 10-year-old, 17.5-pound bundle of sweetness. He’s friendly, gentle, and a huge fan of pets, cuddles, and curling up in your lap. Basically, he’s the coziest little shadow you could ask for! Since settling into his foster home, we’ve learned that Rubicon is a total lovebug who thrives on companionship. He adores being talked to and rides like a champ in the car. Rubicon enjoys short walks with his foster mom around the neighborhood. He has limited vision and sticks close to follow her lead. Now that he’s comfy, Rubicon has also found his voice! He’s started alerting his humans when someone’s at the door, but he’s learning the “quiet” command and is getting the hang of it. A little background noise, like the radio or TV, helps him stay relaxed when left home alone. Rubicon is a bit shy at first with new people, but once he gets a sniff and a moment to settle in, he blossoms into the sweetest sidekick. He gets along with other dogs just fine, though he’s more about people than puppy parties. He’s not picky about food and does well with regular potty breaks (every 2–4 hours during the day keeps him accident-free). Bonus: he sleeps like a dream through the night. Rubicon is looking for a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and treasured. Might it be with you? To meet this sweet senior, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
Tyson is 10 years old and very active dog. He is curious, highly aware and intelligent as well. He loves to run, play ball and be at home. He is crate trained and crated, since we had our children he has become overly protective of them. He barks a lot, I would recommend an experienced owner or someone who has dealt with Jack Russell’s before . He doesn’t do well being alone for long periods. Ideal person for this would be someone who is home a lot and doesn’t travel too much. As he does have a tendency to get carsick in long car rides. He is extremely loyal dog, he will literally die for you or family so he is a very good guard dog. He is brave , almost fearless.

Story
Meet Snowball – The Lovable Little Screwball Still Waiting for His Big Break! We honestly can’t believe it—how is Snowball still waiting to be adopted? This 1.5-year-old, 6.5-lb Jack Russell Terrier mix is a whole lot of happy packed into a tiny body. Affectionately nicknamed “Screwball” for his goofy personality and endless energy, Snowball is equal parts hilarious, affectionate, and wildly entertaining. He brings the kind of joy to a room that makes you wonder how you ever lived without him. But behind his bright spirit is a story of resilience. Snowball came to us in December 2024 as a frightened little stray, unsure of people and the world around him. With time, love, and a safe place to land, he transformed into the bold, playful, and endlessly curious pup he was always meant to be. Now, he’s more than ready to bring that same joy to a forever family of his own. Snowball is still a young guy with puppy-like tendencies, so he’ll need continued guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement training. But he is so eager to please and highly trainable—this is a dog who wants to get it right and just needs someone willing to show him how. As a likely Jack Russell mix, Snowball is smart, feisty, and full of zest. He needs a home that understands small dogs with big personalities and is ready to embrace all the fun (and chaos) that can come with them. What Snowball Needs in a Forever Home: ~An active household ready to keep him engaged, mentally and physically ~A home without young children—he does best with adults or older teens ~A dog-savvy adopter willing to invest in training and structure ~A potential canine sibling might be a fit—but only if they’re laid-back and tolerant of his big personality. He can be bossy with little dogs and a bit of a challenger with larger ones! Snowball is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. The only thing missing from his life is a home where he’ll be loved, understood, and cherished for the little firecracker he is. If you think Snowball is the perfect match for your heart and home, click the Adoption Application button below the bio on the RESCUE WEBSITE, and an adoption counselor will be in touch!
