Story
Meet me, Harris! I may be a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but I’m pretty sure no one told me I’m supposed to be a little dog. I’ve got a HUGE personality packed into a small body, and I walk through life like I own the place. My tail? Always wagging. My personality? Larger than life.My brain? Way too smart… and unfortunately, I know it.I’m funny, confident, treat motivated, and always looking for my next adventure. Whether it’s going for a walk, exploring somewhere new, or hopping in the car for a little road trip, I’m always up for tagging along. I do great in the car, and I love getting out to see what the world has to offer. Give me a trail full of new smells to investigate, and I’m one happy little guy! Now, before you think I’m all fun and games, I’ve actually been putting in some serious work! I’m currently enrolled in training, and I’m doing GREAT. I’m incredibly receptive, eager to learn, and catching on quickly. We’re working on boundaries, impulse control, and understanding that just because I can do something doesn’t always mean I should. Apparently, the humans get to make some of the rules around here. Who knew?I’ve also got some pretty impressive house manners! I’m potty trained, and one thing I’ve absolutely mastered is my crate. Seriously, I’m phenomenal in there! Whether it’s bedtime, some downtime, or my humans heading off to work or running errands, I’m perfectly content hanging out in my crate. I know how to settle down and enjoy some quiet time. When it comes to other dogs, I’m open to having canine friends, but proper introductions are important. A little patience, structure, and guidance go a long way in helping me build successful relationships. My ideal family? Someone who enjoys getting out and doing things together, can laugh at my antics, appreciate my big personality, and still hold me accountable. I thrive with consistency and clear expectations, and I’ve already shown just how much I can accomplish when someone takes the time to teach me.I’m not looking for someone to change who I am. I’m looking for someone who will help me become the best version of myself. Because underneath all this personality is a really smart, fun little guy with so much potential. So, if you’re looking for a walking buddy, adventure partner, and a dog who will keep you laughing every single day, I might just be your guy.Just remember… give me an inch, and I’ll happily take a mile. Probably while wagging my tail the entire time.
