What we do know is that the world has been a scary place for him. Nicholas is fearful and cautious, and he has learned to protect himself by keeping his distance. He may not be potty trained, and it will take time before he feels safe enough to let someone pet him. But here’s the remarkable part: Nicholas has a heart that is ready to trust, if only given the chance. The right person could be the first to show him gentle affection, the first to teach him that hands can comfort, and the first to give him a home where he feels truly safe. Every small moment of patience and love will mean the world to him, and every tiny step he takes toward trust is a huge victory. Nicholas will need a calm, patient, and understanding home where someone can let him move at his own pace. He is not broken—he is waiting for someone willing to meet him where he is and show him that love doesn’t have to be scary. To the person who is willing to take the time, Nicholas will offer a loyalty, affection, and bond unlike any other. She’s a sweet little lapdog who loves close companionship and snuggles most of all. Bella is learning her potty manners and currently uses a pee pad most of the time; with consistency, she should transition well to going outside. She does well in her crate when needed. Bella is a typical playful puppy who enjoys toys and spending time with people. She can be a bit skittish around other dogs, but with patient, slow introductions, she will likely gain confidence and do well. DOB: 11/2025 Adoption Fee: $450More pictures coming soon! New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
