Meet Ginger, a 1½-year-old Patterdale Terrier mix weighing about 35 pounds—small in size but bursting with spirit! Her story began in heartbreak when she was abandoned, heavily pregnant, near a lake and gave birth under a thorn bush to eight puppies—all while she was still a puppy herself. Despite it all, Ginger proved to be an incredible mother, protecting and nurturing her babies until each found their forever home. Now it’s Ginger’s turn to be the one who’s loved. This high-energy, playful girl has graduated from our STAR Inmate Training Program, where she learned her basic obedience skills and showed just how smart and determined she is. Ginger bonds deeply once she trusts you, and when she does, she’s the most loyal, affectionate companion you could ask for. She does best with another dog in the home—someone to play with and help her feel at ease. Hi, I'm Cheesecake! Nice to meet you! The humans here think I look like an Oreo Cheesecake, whatever that is. But it sounds pretty delicious! I'm supposed to talk about me, so let's see. I don't remember anything about my past or before I came here. Or at least the humans don't understand it when I tell them. Pretty sure they aren't fluent in dog. But that's okay. They're nice anyways, lol. I found out that I absolutely HATE baths! The water scares me so much!! I try very hard to get away when someone tries to get me wet. I must have had some sort of bad experience when I was a kid, but I don't remember. It's traumatizing to say the least! So far, I try to ignore my very loud neighbor outside. I don't think he likes me much. So I try my best to look the other way. The humans are teaching me to "sit" and "stay" and "easy" That last one is the hardest for me. When I see a treat, that's all I can think about! I just know it's going to be delicious! So please remember that, 1. I can't help myself 2. I'm learning 3. Please give me a treat with a flat hand and not your fingers 4. Be willing to teach me ❤ I can't wait to find my own family!! I think it's my turn!!

This gorgeous little girl is Pinky! She is believed to be a Patterdale Terrier and Labrador mix that was born around the second week of September and is currently 4.2 lbs. She is a curious and vivacious puppy whose playful behavior promises endless entertainment. Pinky delights in exploring her surroundings, frolicking after leaves, and snuggling during nap times. She especially loves snuggling with the kittens in her foster home, they happen to be her best friends. This pup is certain to delight everyone she encounters. Could Pinky be the pup of your dreams?
