Story
Hello everybody! My name is Peanut Butter and Here is some important info you should know about me:   Breed: Pekingese mix   Age: 3 yrs   Gender: Male   Height: 25 cm   Weight: 4 kg/9lb   Gets along with:  Dogs, cats and kids! I love everybody. Prey Drive: none observed, however, my adopter needs to trade me, should these behaviors arise Fears: none observed, however, I will need patience to get used to my new environment. Current Location: Middle East Training: some   Leash training: I walk well on leash   House training: I know how to do my business on the pad and also outside after I eat. Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  Adoption fee: $800.00 CAD + tax. Possible $300 passenger fee Highlights: playful, loyal, sensitive, cuddly, friendly   About me - I’m a gentle soul with a big heart and an even bigger wish: to find a home where I’ll be loved and safe forever. Even though my start in life was rough, I’ve never stopped being kind. I’m sweet, gentle, and very sensitive — I feel things deeply, and I’ll look to you for comfort and reassurance. All I want is someone who will give me the same love I’m so ready to give.  I get along with everyone — people, dogs, even cats! I’m not possessive about food or toys; I’ll share happily because I know love is something that grows when you give it away.  If you have a warm heart and gentle hands, I promise I’ll be your best friend, your shadow, and your loyal little heartbeat at your feet. My story - I was rescued from a puppy mill along with my sister, Jelly — we were used because we’re a “sought-after breed,” but we never got to know what love really felt like until we were saved.  I adore my sister and we’ve been through everything together. We’d love to be adopted together if possible, but I’ll understand if I find my own loving family — because what matters most is having a home filled with kindness.   Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  My adoption fee is 800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2566419##

Story
Hello everyone! I’m Jelly! Here is some important info you need to know about me: Breed:   Pekingese Age: 3 yrs   Gender: female   Height: 25 cm/10in Weight: 4 kg/9lbs Gets along with:  Dogs, cats and kids Prey Drive: none observed, however, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise. Fears: none observed. I will need patience to get used to my new environment. Training: some  Leash training: I walk well on leash  House Trained: yes I am house trained  Health notes: After surgery on my eyes, I am completely healed. Because of the trauma to my eyes, they tend to get dry so I need lubricating drops every day. I have been spayed, vaccinated, and micro chipped. In the Middle East we receive the following vaccinations: rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. Adoption fee: $800.00CAD plus taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver. My story - I’m one of the lucky ones. My brother and I were rescued from a puppy mill — a place that broke our hearts and bodies before we even had a chance to live. We were kept in tiny cages, and sometimes we were hurt when we made noise or tried to get attention. We had no clean water, no comfort, and no love. We were forced to sit in our own urine for days. When we tried to clean ourselves by licking our paws and rubbing our faces, the bacteria caused terrible infections in both of our eyes. I had to have surgery in both eyes to save my sight, and my brother, sadly, lost his vision completely. We both survived — and now we’re finally safe, clean, and loved.   We’re very bonded because we’ve been through everything together. We would love to find a home together, but we know that might be hard. So if that’s what it takes to finally have our forever families, we’re also open to being adopted separately — as long as we’re loved and cared for the way every dog deserves.   Videos: https://youtube.com/shorts/LGUj8iJD0Ec?si=5Im80jwlFIEte3zYI’m gentle and playful. I love treats and never bark just to bark, and I get along with everyone.https://youtube.com/shorts/wDkplqjLJ60?si=2-7Jsx2JrbwJ3VzgDespite everything that’s happened, my heart is full of love. I’m living proof that even the saddest stories can have happy endings. Health notes: After surgery on my eyes, I am completely healed. Because of the trauma to my eyes, they tend to get dry so I need lubricating drops every day. I have been spayed, vaccinated, and micro chipped. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs.
