Story
He is a sweet and affectionate small dog and is 11 years old. He loves cuddles and loves to be spoken to. He is generally a quiet dog and is not yappy. He is very alert and does warn against people at the door. He is very low maintenance and is not particularly active. He does not need to be exercised and is not destructive or toy-motivated. He is highly food-motivated and is easily trainable as a result. He enjoys being outside on nice days so someone with a fenced yard is ideal. He also enjoys short walks and roaming in dog parks. He is excellent in cars and enjoys road trips. He does well with non-pushy children and can live with other dogs and cats, though he's largely indifferent towards other animals. He is fully potty-trained and also crate-trained. He can hold his pee for 10 hours, easily. He currently has no health or joint issues. Note: The rehoming fee is to ensure he goes to a good home. All adoptees will be asked questions by me to ensure he's in good hands.

Story
We believe Sidney is about 14 years old. Sidney was found as a stray about 13 years ago and lived with my mother -in-law for 10 years and was a great companion for her. We have been caring for Sidney for 3 years as my mother-in-law had to move to memory care. He is a great companion for an older person. I would not recommend a home with small children. He likes a slower pace. He is a senior dog in good health, vaccines up to date and recently groomed. He does require grooming about every 6 to 7 weeks to look his best. My husband and I recently retired and have multiple long trips planned and would love to find Sidney a good home as he will be boarding a lot. Boarding is stressful for him and it was not in our plan to own a pet at this stage in our lives. Sidney is a good walker, never pulls at the leash. He has lived with a cat and really just ignored the cat, didn't bother him.
