Story
Shadow is a 2 1/2 year old "Cowboy Corgi" (Corgi/heeler). He is currently 40 pounds and could lose a few :) He loves to run and is an active guy. We are told he was house trained but will likely need a refresher in a new space. Shadow likes car rides! He is a herding dog -- and has not done well with children. He is looking for an adult household. Shadow is a fun playful young boy! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.

Story
Hey, I’m Hendrix! I’m a Corgi mix weighing about 20lbs. and came to the shelter as a stray so the staff are still getting to know me. I tend to be slow to warm up and can be a door dasher so it’s best to keep me close for the first few weeks. I am not a fan of the cats and dogs I’ve met here at the shelter so I would do best in a home where I can be the only companion. Once I warm up, I’m a snuggle bug and love all the scritches. My adoption fee is $275 – if you think I’m a good fit, come and meet me today! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter.
