Persian kittens & cats in Pensacola, Florida

Meet Ms. Pinenose, a ten-year-old black domestic longhair with striking green eyes and a personality worth waiting for. She came to her foster when her owner passed away suddenly, and her family wanted to make sure she had a safe, caring place to land rather than a shelter. Ms. Pinenose takes a little time to warm up, but once she does she's all in. She loves trailing her people to the kitchen on the off chance something delicious is happening, claiming the sunniest window in the house, and settling in for a good cuddle session. When she's deep in a nap she'll roll over, flash her belly, and make little air biscuits in her sleep. She's a talker, especially around mealtime, and she has a playful side that comes out once she feels at home. She does best as the only pet in a calm, quiet household with adults or older kids who respect her boundaries. She's currently on a low dose of gabapentin for anxiety, which may be reduced or discontinued once she's settled in her new home. The cat adopted us when he was about one year of age. He came from the neighborhood and was tame and neutered. He is about 10 years old now and in excellent health. He loves the outdoors and spends a lot of time chasing squirrels in our Garden. He is very smart and not fussy with his food but loves his treats though, especially cat nip. Soxy spends a lot of time grooming his beautiful coat but like a lot of long hair cats is sensitives to excessive petting. I guess his hair gets static and it hurts him. He will give me a quick bite when he had enough or leave. He seems to be scared of small children and prefers to be an only cat. I have never heard him hissing or growl at me. All in all, he is a loving and affectioned cat who we love dearly. We are heartbroken and sad to re-home him, but cannot take him back to Europe.
