We got Major from a Toledo, OH shelter in 2022 when he was just a kitten. He's mostly skittish more than anything. All he does is hide under my wife and I's bed during the day unless he needs to eat or use the litter box. He'll come out at night and lay next to me on my couch, but he doesn't really have much to do with anyone else in our house. Especially my wife. He's great with my wife's Siamese cat that we adopted about two weeks after he came home to live with us. However, he is probably better suited for a single person household. As far as shots go, he is late for 2026. But he's been an indoor cat his whole life with us. Never once stepped outside other than in a kennel on his way to the vet.

💜 Meet Matilda! 💜 Matilda came to the shelter with her two sisters as a frightened, undersocialized kitten, but thanks to five weeks in foster care, she's made incredible progress. With patience, gentle encouragement, and plenty of Churu treats, she's discovered that people can be pretty wonderful! Once Matilda trusts you, she'll happily accept pets, climb into your lap for Churu, show off her clicker-trained high-fives, and entertain you with her silly silvervine dance. She's playful, smart, and loves having confident feline friends around. Matilda would thrive in a calm, quiet home with another young, playful cat and without young children. She'll need a little time to adjust, but she'll go home with tips to help make the transition easy. If you have a soft spot for shy cats, Matilda is ready to show you just how rewarding earning her trust can be—especially if you come armed with lots of Churu!
