Story
SASHA is a fluffy, solid black female adult kitty with eyes that are sometimes golden or sometimes green, depending upon her mood. She is a special girl, very enchanting with a personality that is made up of both sugar and spice. She is known for both her independence and her charm. She will demand your attention, but you must know that she would be best suited in a home as an only cat, no small children, and with someone who is very familiar with cats and who knows how to read their behaviors. The Sugar/Charming Sasha: She can be a VERY affectionate cat that loves to lay in your lap while being petted. She will follow you around while rubbing against your legs asking you to pet her. She loves to climb up to higher spaces while watching you. Once you have earned her trust, she will give you head bumps and rubs as well as purring. She loves to play and chase toys that you toss to her. The Spicy/Sassy Sasha: During her adaptation to new places and people, she can display body language and behaviors that warrant allowing this girl her own space. Slow deliberate movements so that you don't startle her, are very helpful. If you are well-versed in cat language you will realize this and allow her the space she needs. It will take a while (probably a couple of months) for her to come out of her shell on her own terms. Sasha was a bottle baby who was about 3 months old when first adopted. She was returned after five years—we think that she did not like having small children around, nor did she like the other cat in the house. [When she was a kitten, she had no other cats to show her the ropes.] Sasha is a very special cat who will reward a patient adopter with incredible love and affection, once she has acclimated and bonded to her new human. SASHA has been spayed, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet SASHA in foster care, please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID # 1609-C0501R NOTE: CRAN WILL SPONSOR TWO FREE GROOMING APPTS DURING THE FIRST YEAR AFTER SASHA IS ADOPTED. Story
Meet Ben Gentle Souls and Loyal Companions! BEN and HOPE are two sweet, bonded, older gentlemen with hearts full of love and a spirit that's been through a lot. After surviving years in poor living conditions, both are finally safe and cared for-but Hope's journey left its mark. Due to his age and past neglect, Hope had to have most of his teeth removed. But don't worry-he adjusted beautifully and can still enjoy soft food and gentle treats! Naturally shy at first, both Ben and Hope take time getting to know you-but once they do, they melt into affection. They adore chin scratches and cozy naps near their favorite people. Neither of them mind other calm cats or dogs, but they must be adopted together. These special boys are looking for a quiet home where they can finally enjoy their golden years surrounded by warmth, patience, and love. If you have a soft spot for gentle souls who just need a second chance, Ben and Hope are waiting to meet you. Ben and Hope has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. The $140 adoption fee (for both) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
