Story
McIntosh is a stunning long-haired brown-and-white tabby boy, about 3 months old, who is equal parts lovable and playful. He’ll compete with anyone in the room for your affection and often wins by climbing straight into your lap. He’s also a pouncing machine, always up for a round with stuffed toys or a wand toy. McIntosh would love to be adopted with one of his siblings, and he’d also do fine in a home with other cats and dogs. A home with laps to claim and toys to pounce on is all he needs to be happy. All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their initial age-appropriate vaccinations. Kittens have an adoption fee of $200 each or $300 for a bonded pair. Kittens must be adopted in pairs unless there is another young, energetic cat in the home. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life. ##2824428##

Story
Pierre is a very sweet loving cat and can be quite snuggly, and also quite spunky. Her mood changes quickly, and sometimes exhibits play aggression and displaced aggression. I love her so much but I don’t think my current environment (studio apartment) is best suited for her needs. She would thrive in an Indoor/outdoor set-up where she can explore, run, and get more stimulation; and come inside when she pleases. It’s not safe for me to let her outside near my apartment, but I can tell she longs to be outside! She tends to have problems with separation anxiety and hates when doors are closes (for example, when I’m in the bathroom with the door shut). The vet prescribed medication for her anxiety because she was having some behavioral issues. The meds help but didn’t completely fix the issue, so I think the real problem is environmental, unfortunately. I have cat supplies: litter box, cat tower, toys, etc that I can also include for an additional fee.

Story
This is Magpie. She is 4 years old and in need of a new home that can accommodate her needs. She is an incredibly sweet and loving cat, is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and has no known medical issues. Magpie is incredibly friendly, but also an anxious/restless cat, and has a history of litter box problems and separation anxiety. Magpie would be happiest in a home where she has access to the outdoors, lots of space to roam/heights to climb, and owners that can spend lots of time with her and give her tons of attention. She loves guests and is incredibly gentle (I think she would be great with kids because of this!) I am very sad to be parting with her but know that there is a happier life waiting for her in another home. I can provide her litter box, litter genie, food/water bowls, some food, treats, and toys. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have!
