RANCH DOGS OR SERVICE DOG PROSPECT!!!!!All dogs are located in southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox Arizona. Please contact Carrie at fedwellfarm@yahoo.com or 602-316-8919 (no texts please) UPDATED PROFILE: Opal and Dusty have learned so much and come so far! A wonderful donor has offered up to $500 to help pay for a dog trainer to work with their adopter. WE WOULD ALLOW THESE DOGS TO A RANCH OR FARM HOME in order to keep them together. We normally do not allow outdoor only, but these two would really love to be together on a farm or ranch. Opal and Dusty have learned so much and come so far! These two wonderful dogs would also excel as service dogs. They are extremely loyal and want to desperately bond with their humans. They are extremely loyal and want to desperately bond with their humans. Both have been snake avoidance trained and actually did so well that the trainer was impressed, and they seem to have known about snakes instinctively. Opal and Dusty were scared kids picked up by animal control in New Mexico. When they arrived, we could not even catch them, they were so afraid. T They have come so far! They love their humans; they look forward to human contact and are absolutely the BEST ON THE LEASH!!!!! They go for long walks with the volunteer, and they are perfect. Once, the volunteer fell on the walk and the leashes were let go., Dusty and Opal stayed right with her and made sure the volunteer was okay and then waited for their leashes to be picked up and carry on with their walk. (The volunteer was not injured thankfully) Both of them are now 2 years old. They have filled out beautifully and are in magnificent condition. Both weigh between 70 and 80 pounds. We would love to place these two in a home together, if possible, but we would separate if necessary. Please come meet these wonderful, beautiful kids and give them the life they really deserve. They have been in rescue way to long and they will repay their new family with so much love, giggles and smiles! 602-316-8919 (no texts please)March 13, 2026, 7:57 pm

Story
There have been many songs written about and entitled, “The Good Life.” From the 1988 song by Inner City, which included the lyrics, “Love is shining/ Life is thriving/ In the good life,” to the 2017 song by G-Eazy and Kehlani; “We put the good in the good in the good life/ We put the bad in the past, now we alright.” In 2019 One Republic famously sang, “This could really be a good life, good life/ I say oh, got this feeling that you can`t fight/ Like this city is on fire tonight/ This could really be a good life/ A good, good life.”With everything written about the “good life,” our sweetie Shelby can`t wait to experience it for herself! Saved from a bad situation by an APS officer, she needs a soft place to land. She’s a senior at ten years old and hopes to get into her own comfy bed with two square meals, walks and cuddles, and love to last her through every day of her golden years. Shelter volunteers admire this brave senior gal, sharing:“This brave gal has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure and she needs and deserves someone kind and gentle who will give her time to develop confidence and blossom. She would be perfect in a calm retirement-type of home where she can enjoy her golden years in softness and comfort and get the chance to be someone’s pampered companion.”“I walked Shelby for the first time this morning. Overall, she was easy to walk. She walked at a nice, even pace without any pulling, and she enjoyed smelling everything in the park.”Shelby shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has kept to herself when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Shelby shares One Republic’s sentiment, “`Cause hopelessly the hope is we have so much to feel good about.” Can you give a deserving pup so much to feel good about in a safe home? If so, come and meet her today!
