Story
RUBEN – Male Pharaoh Hound/Staffy Mix | Born 7/30/2024 | 35 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Meet Ruben, the handsome, bright-eyed boy who’s equal parts sunshine and snuggles! With his expressive ears and a smile that can melt any heart, Ruben brings warmth and joy wherever he goes. He’s playful, social, and absolutely adores being around people. Whether he’s trotting proudly on a walk, chasing his favorite toy, or curling up beside you for a nap, Ruben’s happiness shines through. This boy loves to explore the world but also loves a good cuddle just as much — the perfect mix of energy and affection. Breed Info: The Pharaoh Hound is known for its elegance, intelligence, and playful spirit — one of the oldest and most striking breeds in history. Combined with the Staffy’s loyal and affectionate nature, Ruben’s mix makes him a devoted, joyful, and fun-loving companion. He’s smart, eager to please, and has the heart of a true family dog who will bring endless love and laughter to his home. Owner Responsibilities: Ruben will thrive with an owner who values routine, kindness, and active companionship. He’ll need regular walks, mental stimulation, and time to bond with his people. Continue positive training, provide a balanced diet, and give him the love and patience he deserves — and you’ll have a best friend for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting: Before bringing Ruben home, take a moment to reflect on what it truly means to adopt: Do you have time for daily walks, play, and attention? Are your living arrangements stable, and is your landlord pet-friendly? Are you ready for the financial responsibility of food, vet care, and grooming? Do you have a secure yard or plan to provide structured exercise? Are you ready to commit for his lifetime — through moves, life changes, and all the love-filled years ahead? A dog isn’t just a pet — he’s family. Make sure you’re ready for forever. Vet Care: Ruben is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Even though he’s in great shape, it’s important to take him to your trusted vet soon after adoption to establish ongoing care and keep him thriving for years to come. The 3-3-3 Rule & Commitment for Life: The first 3 days are for decompressing — everything is new, so give him space, comfort, and reassurance. The first 3 weeks are when he’ll start learning your home, your routine, and your heart. The first 3 months are when trust blossoms, and he’ll know he’s truly home. Remember: adoption is a lifetime promise. Be patient, love deeply, and you’ll watch him bloom into his best self. Why Ruben Would Be a Great Addition: Ruben has a heart as golden as his sleek coat. He’s that once-in-a-lifetime companion — loyal, funny, affectionate, and endlessly grateful. He’ll fill your home with joy, laughter, and the kind of love that only a rescue dog can give. Every wag of his tail says, “thank you for believing in me.” If you’re ready to be his forever person, Ruben is ready to fill your life with love. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
HI - I'M MANDI! I'm a darling 2-year-old red-nosed Pit Bull Terrier mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter on my last day, and I was one of the lucky ones! While at the shelter I had kennel mates, and I'm great with other dogs. I also love people, and have that awesome pittie disposition where I'm happy, loving and a couch potato snuggler. I currently weigh about 55 lbs and am a perfect size. I would love a home where I can go for walks, hikes and other outings. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Six years ago I rescued Honeybun in AZ, since I have enjoyed 6 joyful, wonderful years living with Miss Bun. She is calm & well behaved in a car, in a home, in a crowded public area. She is very friendly, loving, gentle, intelligent & social. Honey is submissive, good with other dogs, children & disabled folks like me. Honeybun has a prey drive towards squirrels, rabbits & small prey animals. She is not good with cats for this reason. Honey has lived with many different types of roommates (canine & human), she has peacefully adapted to male, female, big, small, young & old & looked to bond with all of them. Honeybun loves walks above all else. She is part sight hound & loves visual stimulation & outdoor adventures. She also is a homebody that will peacefully hang out with her family in house. I am rehoming Honey due to a serious increase in my disability. I am forced to move into a care home that doesn’t permit pets. I’m heartbroken, she is a beautiful soul full of love to share.
