Story
He is a 5-year-old German Shepherd who is intelligent, energetic, loyal, and very attached to the people he trusts. He is an active dog who enjoys being outside, exploring, playing, and spending time with his people. He would do best with an experienced and patient owner who understands German Shepherds or other working breeds and can provide consistent training, structure, exercise, and attention. During the first few days or weeks after adoption, he may be anxious or nervous while adjusting to a completely new environment, routine, and people. He needs patience and time to decompress. A calm environment, consistent routine, and slower introduction to new people and surroundings will help him become comfortable and build trust. He has a lot of energy and a strong prey drive, so his new owner should be comfortable managing an active dog and continuing his training. He can also experience separation anxiety and may become destructive when stressed or left alone for extended periods. H
