We adopted Poncho 3 months ago for company for my 2 year old male dog. He’s very loving and wants to please.They play well together but he shows some aggression with food and toys with our other dog. He has come a long way with me training him with these issues. I walk them daily because I have the time (retired) and we walk in the woods near us while being on a retractable leash. He wants to be the dominate one (or alpha) and the first one in or out (I think it’s the husky trait).He wants to please and follow you every where.

Red will need a patient, knowledgeable owner who is willing to take the time to earn his trust, and build a bond with him.He needs a lot of training but really is a great dog, and will make the best companion for the right personHe has been raised around other dogs but may take time to warm up to a new dog.🚫 NO CATS or other small animals🚫 NO SMALL CHILDREN non-negotiable 🏡 A securely fenced yard is preferred. Meet Vegas — A Second Chance Worth Betting On. Vegas is underweight, skittish, and incredibly submissive - but he has a loyal heart of gold. We can't say whether he's ever been mistreated, but his mannerisms make us wonder if he's spent some time surviving on his own. Despite his fears, Vegas has a wonderfully playful side. He enjoys roughhousing with other dogs and has done well with the canine companions he's encountered during his journey to rescue. He's also a pretty enthusiastic tail-wagger! Vegas wants affection. You can see it. But sometimes he seems genuinely conflicted about whether he should approach or retreat. He'll start toward you, second-guess himself, and then decide that the possibility of getting some love is worth being brave. It's both endearing and a little heartbreaking. After only FOUR DAYS in foster care, he’s cowering less, seeking affection more, and slowly discovering that he doesn't have to spend every moment anticipating something unpleasant. Vegas is also showing signs that being left behind is something he finds particularly difficult. He is non-destructive when left alone - no shredded furniture, no demolished belongings, no household renovations conducted without permission. However, he does vocalize his sadness at being left behind. Today, I left him home with my husband, thinking that having company might make things easier. Vegas had other opinions. He complained. He howled a couple of times. And when I returned, he had a few things to say about my unacceptable absence. My husband is understandably disappointed to discover that he's apparently the spare human. In all seriousness, Vegas is developing an attachment to me, likely because I'm the person spending the most time helping him feel comfortable. He hasn't been here long enough for us to know whether his distress when separated will improve as he settles in, but it's something his future family should understand and be willing to work on. He'll need people who are patient about building his confidence, who can help him gradually learn that departures aren't permanent, and who won't punish him for being frightened or vocal. What does Vegas need? A full belly. A soft bed. A patient heart. And a lifetime of never having to wonder whether he's wanted. After all, this boy has already gambled on trusting us. I'd say he's earned a winning hand. ❤️

Meet Blizzard! With his striking blue eyes and incredibly sweet personality, Blizzard is as handsome as they come! This special boy was sadly just moments away from being euthanized, but we’re so grateful we were able to save him and give him a second chance at the love and happiness he deserves. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family and begin the wonderful new chapter he’s been waiting for! Blizzard can be a little unsure about where he’s allowed in his new surroundings, but with patience, gentle guidance, and a loving home, his confidence will continue to grow. Beneath that gorgeous exterior is a gentle soul who absolutely adores belly rubs, soaking up affection, and being showered with pets. He happily greets visitors into the home and is always ready to make new human friends! One of Blizzard’s best qualities is his calm, easygoing nature. He’s a wonderfully quiet boy for his breed and settles in nicely at home, finding a cozy spot to lie down and relax. He’s also potty trained and may give you a little howl when he needs to go outside. He does have a curious side, though, and occasionally checks the kitchen countertops to see if any tasty treats have been left within reach! Blizzard has a strong prey drive, so he’ll need a home without small animals or critters. He’d also prefer to be the only dog in the household, where he can enjoy all the love, attention, and belly rubs his heart desires. With his people all to himself, Blizzard will have the opportunity to settle in, feel secure, and enjoy the companionship he loves. After coming so close to losing his life, Blizzard deserves a family who will cherish him, help him continue to build confidence, and remind him every day that he’s safe and loved. He has so much affection to give and is ready to leave his difficult past behind for a brighter future filled with comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.
