Story
Mateo is approximately 4 years old. He came to us for board and train in April 2025. He then went back to his owner and became a farm dog. He lived in the barn and was good around the livestock. The owner decided he did not have enough for the dog to do, so he asked for our help to rehome him. Mateo is trained in basic obedience and is remote collar trained if you choose to use one. He is kennel trained and house broken. He is a high energy GSD and needs a good amount of work. He will be a great dog for someone who has the time to put in. He has been around cats and other dogs with no issues, but would prefer a single dog home. Because of his energy, we are not keen on him going to a house with young children. We are offering free lessons to his adopter until the relationship is established.

Story
I’m Phineas, a floppy‑eared German Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life, and I’m on the lookout for my forever family. I’m an active, playful guy who loves romping around the yard, inventing my own games, and showing off my goofy side, but I’ll also happily curl up beside you once I’ve gotten my energy out. I can be a bit vocal—what can I say, I’ve got thoughts and I like to share them—but it’s all part of my charm and my way of staying connected to my people. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who brings enthusiasm, personality, and plenty of floppy‑eared joy into your home, I’m your dog. Give my friends at the Adoption Center a call at 859-873-5491 to find out more about me or to schedule an appointment to meet me!
