Remy is a sweet, resilient girl who is ready for a fresh start after a rough chapter. She came to us during a very uncomfortable nonviable pregnancy from a stressful environment. During that time, overwhelmed and protecting her space she became too reactive and circumstances brought her to us. We took Remy into our care because we knew under all that stress, she is not a bad dog, but simply overstimulated and uncomfortable, and lacked the boundaries and safety she needed. Since arriving, being spayed, and settling into a predictable routine, she has shown us her true self: affectionate when she feels safe, eager to please, and excited to show who she truly is under all that insecurity. Since we`ve had Remy, she has come out of her shell. Very true to her main breed type, the Australian Cattle Dog, she has an independent personality and stubborn streak. Her perfect home would be:- Someplace with an experienced handler, comfortable maintaining clear boundaries, and management to routines.- A predictable environment where she can feel secure.- A home without young children, older children (teens) who respect boundaries would be best.- Understanding & Patience. Someone who understands that her past was overwhelming and ready to give her the safe and structured life she deserves.Remy came from a home with other dogs, but a meet & greet would be necessary upon an approved application.
