Story
Meet Freya!Freya came into the shelter September 16th found running loose in the city limits of Alpine. We could not believe that she was never reclaimed, she has been fabulous! She has tested positive for heartworms and has started treatments. Her adoption availability date is pending until she has gone through treatment but, we are more than happy to introduce her to potential adopters to get the ball rolling.Freya has not been in play groups with other dogs yet, but she does really well walking by the other dogs and will approach a neighboring kennel calmly to say hello. She has been very friendly with every person she has met so far and has done really well walking on a leash. We also believe she is potty trained; she keeps her kennel clean and will wait for her turn in the yard for her potty break. We have also found she knows sit and how to give you her paw. Our staff says that their favorite things about Freya is that she is gentle, sweet, smart, treat motivated, very understanding and a good listener. What a bunch of great characteristics!Come meet Freya today at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.

Story
Dogon is truly an amazing dog. The only reason I'd like to rehome her is because I do not have the time to give her the engagement and exercise she deserves. I've had her trained as well as worked with her myself for 5 years, and she heeds commands, responding well to snapping of the fingers along with the command. She is very well behaved, and is typically friendly toward other animals. She has never bitten anyone or acted aggressive toward a human. She tends to be food aggressive around other animals so feed separately. She is very friendly and loves people, kids, and other animals though, eager to play or say hi. She should have a big yard to run and preferably another dog to play with and/or regular daily walks. She lives for treats, has striking white eyes, is highly intelligent, and will melt your heart with her sweet and gentle character.

Story
Take a look at this stunner! Barney is a little bashful at first but when he comes out of his shell, he is an incredibly charming boy. He has the heart of a runner in him, his brother Cody and him could spend all day playing in the yard if they could. If his beautiful eyes don’t stop you in your tracks, we`re sure his charm will. This guy desires all the love and attention a new family can offer, did we mention he is great with other dogs and is potty trained? Come meet Barney at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.
