Meet Sheeba Sheeba is a super sweet senior lady who made it safely to Wisconsin in December and is now ready to find her forever home where she can spend the rest of her days surrounded by love. She was found as a “stray” in Georgia alongside her best friend, Scooby, and heartbreakingly ended up in a kill shelter. Despite appearing well cared for—with matching collars and leashes—it was clear these two weren’t truly strays, but beloved dogs left behind. Scooby was able to travel north earlier, but Sheeba had to stay behind to complete heartworm treatment after testing positive at the shelter. She handled her treatment like a champ and is now healthy, thriving, and finally reunited with Scooby in her Wisconsin foster home. Sheeba may be a senior, but she still has plenty of life and love left to give. She is incredibly easygoing, quiet, and rarely barks. She does wonderfully at vet appointments, never meets a stranger, and settles beautifully once she feels comfortable in her environment. Sheeba enjoys gentle companionship, soaking up pets, and simply being near her people. She is fully potty trained, crate trained (though she doesn’t need a crate), and walks well on a leash, making her an easy addition to any home. She is friendly with other dogs, does well with kids, and according to the shelter, is not a good fit for a home with cats. Sheeba would love to be adopted with her pal Scooby, and we would be thrilled to see them stay together. However, it is not required, and Sheeba would also do wonderfully in a loving home of her own. From a rough beginning to a well-deserved second chance, Sheeba is a low-key, super-duper sweet girl ready to write her happily-ever-after. He is no longer in the Arkansas shelter and is beginning the next chapter of his journey while he waits for his forever family. Meet Riggs Riggs is a male German Shepherd mix (best guess), about 1 year old, and already neutered. He is a friendly, happy dog with an easygoing personality who enjoys being around people and other dogs. Riggs does well with other dogs and would be a good fit for a home looking for a young dog with a positive, social temperament. At his age, he will benefit from continued structure, training, and regular activity to help him continue adjusting to life in a home environment. Now that Riggs is in foster care, we will continue learning more about his personality, manners, and preferences as he settles in. From Riggs’ Foster: Riggs is doing amazing! He’s fully potty trained, did great with his bath, and already knows sit, down, and off. We’re working on paw and lay down—he’s very smart and treat-motivated. I think he would be a good potential service dog. He’s a total cuddle bug who loves sleeping with me and even watches TV. He walks beautifully on a leash without pulling and enjoys playing fetch (I’m doing most of the fetching). Indoors, he’ll usually bring toys back and drop them when asked. We went to PetSmart where Riggs picked out his own new toy. Riggs loves all his toys, but his favorite is a stuffed mallard duck that honks and crinkles—and it always goes to bed with him.
