She had been abandoned and was in terrible condition. Her body was extremely thin, with only skin and bones left. She had severe bedsores and was unable to walk. Weak and exhausted, she was rushed to the hospital where she stayed for one month.After her hospitalization, Songsol joined our partner boarding house. With proper care, she slowly began to gain weight and rebuild her strength. Currently, she lives in a foster home in Surrey, BC.Personality and SocializationSongsol is a gentle and loving girl with a medium energy level. She is friendly with everyone she meets and does well with other dogs including small dogs as long as they are gentle and friendly.More than anything, Songsol loves being with her people. She is very affectionate and enjoys cuddling and staying close to her humans. She is truly a people focused dog and feels happiest when she is by your side.BehaviourSongsol is an easygoing and smart girl. She does well in the car and stays calm during baths, grooming, and vet visits. She walks nicely on leash and is generally very well behaved.She has a quiet nature and enjoys lounging and relaxing. Songsol is very obedient and eager to please her person. She also loves snacks and is very food motivated, which makes her a joy to work with.Songsol forms a strong bond with her people and truly loves being close. Because of this, she does not do well when left alone for long periods. She would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time to keep her company and make her feel safe and loved.Health and DietWhile we do not know what Songsol went through before she was found, it is clear that she suffered severe neglect. Thankfully, she has fully recovered and is now healthy and is ready for her forever home.She does not require any special medication or treatment. Songsol is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies.Ideal HomeSongsol is a sweet, gentle, and very smart girl who truly loves being around people. She forms a deep bond with her person and feels happiest simply being close, sharing everyday moments together.She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as she is not comfortable being left alone. During the initial adjustment period, she will need patience and reassurance so she can feel safe, relax, and settle in at her own pace. An ideal home would be with someone who is retired or works from home and can include her as part of their daily life. She would also benefit from having other dogs around, as she enjoys the comfort of furry companions.A detached home in a calm neighborhood would be ideal.
