Story
Meet Nada – Your New Best Friend!  Don’t let the name fool you—this handsome young pup is all about saying YES to love, fun, and adventure! With the cutest heart-shaped nose and charming brown spots, Nada is a total head-turner. But his good looks are just the beginning! Nada has the best doggy manners—he’ll sit calmly to have his leash put on or taken off, and he’s crate trained like a pro. He loves toys and playtime (tennis balls are his one weakness—fair warning!) and is always up for learning something new. This boy is smart, eager, and motivated, especially if you’re offering peanut butter.  He’s fantastic with kids and will happily stay by your side as long as you’re handing out pets and snuggles. A true cuddle bug, Nada is as sweet as pie and just wants to be part of the family. The Details Possible Pointer mix Born: 4/28/24 46 lbs Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations Walks well on a leash (unless there’s a tennis ball around—then it's game on!) Nada would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, play, and soak up the sunshine. If you're looking for a loving, goofy, loyal companion who's ready to grow with you, come meet Nada—you’ll be saying “yes!” in no time. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County for an adoption fee. Story
Meet Bria, a smart, spunky, and energetic pup who’s ready to live her best life! This 58-pound Pointer/Hound mix was born on 9/2/20 and has completed the Leash on Life Prison Pup Program with flying colors. Bria is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all her shots, and is eager to find her forever family! Bria absolutely loves going on walks, sniffing out critters, and chasing anything that rustles in the bushes or trees. She has a high prey drive, so playing fetch and tug are some of her favorite activities. Her handler says she’s highly intelligent, food-motivated, and always excited to learn new things. Bria has already mastered commands like “sit,” “down,” “stay,” “come,” “no,” “off,” “leave it,” “place,” and more! She walks beautifully on a loose leash and is both kennel and housetrained. Since completing her training, Bria has even added a few impressive tricks to her repertoire—she can give paw, high five, roll over, speak, and will even perform a backflip off your chest! She responds to both verbal commands and hand gestures, making her a true superstar when it comes to training. Bria is a confident, alpha female who prefers the company of people over other dogs. She’s dog-reactive, so she’ll do best as the only dominant dog in the household. That said, she could get along with non-aggressive, submissive dogs or younger puppies, as long as introductions are done slowly. Bria loves to chase birds and will even try to climb after them, so she’ll need an active home where she can burn off all her playful energy. While Bria can play rough, she’s a total sweetheart who loves cuddling up in your lap after a day of fun—any size lap will do! She would thrive in a home with adults or teenagers who understand her need for mental and physical stimulation. Bria also does better meeting strangers when they let her come to them, and a few treats (especially potato chips!) will definitely win her over. Bria’s handler is a teacher’s assistant in the mornings. She has a place in the room and will occasionally roam around the classroom to get pets from the students. She’s always eager to make new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, with the right approach. If you’re looking for an energetic, loyal companion who’s as smart as she is playful, Bria could be the perfect match for you! Could you be the one to give Bria the loving home she deserves? *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Story
Meet Rico! This 28-pound bundle of fun is equal parts playful and sweet, with a personality that will keep you smiling. Rico is a pretty laid-back guy overall, but he’s still working on his manners and will benefit from a little continued guidance and consistency. He enjoys spending time with his people, whether it’s going for a walk or just hanging out. Rico walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to many types of homes. Rico has an adorable, lean build and the cutest black-and-white ticking on his feet that adds to his unique charm. And let’s talk about those ears—his little ears have a mind of their own! Some days they’re up, some days they’re down…you never quite know what kind of ear day he’s having, but it just makes him even more lovable. Rico is currently looking for a foster or forever home where he can continue to shine and be part of a loving family. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion with a touch of quirky charm, Rico might just be your perfect match.
