Story

Taylor is a 4-year-old male mixed breed (we're guessing Pointer/Border Collie mix) looking for a calm, loving home. He was rescued during the Waialua flooding after previously living on a rural farm. Since then, he has adjusted beautifully to indoor family life and has discovered that being a couch potato is pretty great. Taylor previously had eye-removal surgery, but he is fully healed and does not need any ongoing medical care related to his eye. His ideal home would be calm and predictable, with older children age 10+ if any. He should not live with cats and would do best with either no other dogs or one small, compatible dog. He has successfully lived for several months with two adults and one small dog. Taylor is medium energy. He enjoys walks, playtime, and being part of the family, but he does not need a high-energy exercise routine. Dog parks are not his thing, so he’ll be happiest with more structured outings and a quieter home environment. He has done beautifully at the beach, in large open fields, on walks, out in public at Petco, Ross, Home Depot, and even visiting his foster mama at her workplace! He is available for foster-to-adopt or adoption on Oʻahu, with direct adoption also available interisland or to the mainland. Taylor has been waiting a long time for the right person to notice him.
