Story
Don't skip this great goofy gal! Poppy is a previous alumna that is back because her pet parents wanted the best for her energetic personality and they unfortunately need extended medical care. Poppy's foster parent has noticed that she needs mental enrichment more than physical enrichment. So, a multi dog house that does regular training would be the best fit for Poppy. She is a sweet and very social 2 yrs old 55Lb Pointer mix, her birthday is coming up May 24th. She is kennel and command trained. She does still occasionally pull on the leash so taking time for bonding games is suggested before outings. She also still likes to see where the cats are running to but is fine with them. Although a slow introduction would be advised for any new animal.  Poppy's adoption fee is $300 which cover her spay, microchip, vaccines and flea & heartworm prevention. You can apply at gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/ ##2152248##

Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Wally’s origin story? A Walmart parking lot… and he was way too young to be out there without his mama. Not exactly the start every puppy dreams of — but thankfully he landed with Foster Pet Outreach and upgraded his life immediately. Now 11 weeks old and almost ready for forever, Wally has been raised in a foster home with dogs, cats, and toddlers (basically the full chaos package). He’s learning all the puppy essentials: play hard, nap harder, and look adorable while doing absolutely nothing productive. We think he’s a beagle/pointer/pitbull mix, so expect a medium-sized adventure buddy — somewhere in the 30–60 lb range when full grown. From parking lot to prized possession… Wally’s ready for his glow-up. Apply at www.fosterpetoutreach.org
