Dog Friendly: Yes, Prefers Females Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Unknown Weight: Appx 75 lbs Meet Señor Fernando! Señor Fernando is a big, goofy boy with a heart full of love and a zest for life! He’s a total character who adores his stuffies and looks forward to his walks every day. While he’s a strong guy who sometimes forgets his size in his excitement, Fernando is working on his leash manners and improving every day. This handsome hunk keeps a spotless kennel and only whines when he’s eagerly waiting his turn for some adventure time. Fernando has never met a stranger he didn’t like, though he can be selective about his dog friends and prefers a cat-free home. After spending a few months in boarding, Fernando is ready to find a foster or forever home where he can truly shine. He’ll need a secure yard with a 6-foot fence and a family who appreciates his playful, goofy nature. Who’s ready to welcome this lovable "hunka munka" into their lives? Fernando is waiting to meet you!

Story
Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: No Weight: 42 Bruce is such a sweet boy but it takes a little bit of time for him to trust new people and relax. Bruce is smart and thrives with good leadership. He will always need a strong leader and proper introductions to new people. He knows sit, shake, and wait. His boarding buddy has been working with him on not pulling on leash as well as how to handle strangers who may be near him on walks. Bruce enjoys playing with other dogs in doggy daycare. He has some separation anxiety when left so he needs to be crated when the humans are gone. Bruce needs a quiet home without a lot of visitors and without children. He is waiting in boarding and we hope this sweet boy gets the family he deserves soon!

Story
Capezio's story is one of resilience. When she first came into Beauties & Beasts' care, she had been found frozen under a porch. She was so cold that the veterinary team couldn't even register a body temperature and feared she wouldn't survive. She was severely malnourished, suffering from significant fur loss and skin issues, and after stabilizing, she spent 30 days in a kennel at El Paso because there simply wasn't space available anywhere else. When we were finally able to bring her into foster care, it was clear that Capezio had experienced very little kindness from people. She was terrified, shut down, and acted as though she had never lived inside a home. We promised her she would always be safe, warm, and loved. Today, Capezio is physically thriving. Her coat has grown back beautifully, and her skin has healed. She enjoys the comfort and routine of living in a home and coexists well with other dogs, but she remains extremely shy and uncomfortable around people. Even after months in foster care, Capezio has not formed a bond with humans and prefers to keep her distance. She is not a dog that seeks affection, attention, or physical interaction, and she is happiest when allowed to simply exist on her own terms without pressure or expectations. Capezio is looking for a very special adopter who understands that love doesn't always look like cuddles or companionship. She may never become a dog that enjoys being petted, follows her people around the house, or actively seeks human interaction. Instead, she needs a calm, predictable environment where she can feel safe and be accepted exactly as she is. Her ideal home will appreciate her for the quiet, resilient soul she is and allow her to live comfortably without trying to change who she is. For the right person, giving Capezio the chance to simply be safe, warm, and respected will be one of the greatest gifts they can offer.

Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Unknown Kid Friendly: Yes, Older Children Meet Moksha: Your Future Adventure Buddy! Little Moksha is a sweet girl who’s both kennel and house trained! She’s great at giving cues when it’s time to go outside, although she can’t have blankets in her kennel—she tends to chew them up like a pro! Moksha loves going to daycare, where she plays rowdily with her friends, always ready for a fun time. But don’t be fooled; she also craves affection! Her favorite things? Neck scratches, toys, and she’s a tug-of-war champion! This charming girl is a bit shy and scared of small humans at first, but she warms up quickly with a nice walk and some tasty treats. Although she’s high energy, she knows how to settle down when it’s time to relax with her humans. Moksha is looking for a low-traffic, structured home where she can continue to learn that the world isn’t so scary. She’d love a buddy to play with and, most importantly, someone who will embrace her quirky, awkward charm. If you’re ready for some fun adventures and lots of love, Moksha is the perfect companion for you!

Story
Dog Friendly: No Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes, Older Children Meet Hercules: The Lovable Rebel Ready for His Forever Home! Hercules lives up to his name—he’s strong, smart, and a little mischievous (in the best way). This 2-year-old American Pitbull Terrier is one of 30+ dogs rescued from outdoor kennels in Sumner County, and now he’s looking for a special someone to match his big heart and personality. This handsome boy knows all the tricks: sit, lay, settle, shake, touch, come, wait (especially for breakfast and dinner), and he’s kennel and house trained. But don’t be surprised if he “talks” to you when he’s ready to come out of his kennel—he’s got the charm of a chatty teenager! Hercules is a total snuggle bug. Once he’s attached, he loves hard—whether that’s burrowing under the covers, sprawling between your legs, or enforcing his self-imposed bedtime of 9 PM. He’s got a dominant streak, so he’ll need a confident, experienced adopter with a watchful eye to help him be his best self. Requirements: • A 6’ fence to keep this adventurer safe • A home with no cats • Older kiddos who can handle his playful energy • No smaller animals If you’re ready for a lifetime of love, laughs, and a little sass, Hercules is your guy. Apply to adopt him today!
