Hazel is a very sweet girl with the most cheerful disposition - her smile lights up a room, and when that nubby tail wags, you can't help but laugh!  She loves affection and is eager to please.  Hazel loads up easily and enjoys car rides.  She's been good with other dogs.  She is spayed, vaccinated, up to date on heartworm/flea/tick preventative, and is heartworm negative.  Hazel currently weighs 39 pounds and is about a year and a half old.     She is located in Monticello, MS and appointments to meet her are available weekdays as well as evenings and weekends.  Her adoption fee is $100.  You can reach a volunteer at 769-281-8202 to schedule an appointment or ask any questions that you might have.   Reasonably priced transportation options to other parts of the country are also available.   June 12, 2026, 3:09 pm

Ruby's story began on the side of a major highway in Mt. Hermon, Louisiana. She was one of three frightened puppies dumped and left to fend for themselves. I personally rescued Ruby from that road. Her two siblings have already found loving homes, but Ruby is still waiting. Now going on six months in our shelter, Ruby remains a happy, energetic puppy with a heart full of love and a zest for life. She loves to run, play, and explore. She would thrive with an active family, especially one with older children who can keep up with her playful spirit. Ruby survived being abandoned. Now she just needs someone to choose her. Please consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful girl. She has waited long enough
