How gorgeous is this little muffin?! Meet Ms. Mavis! This pocket sized chocolate chip muffin has all the ingredients to grow into an amazing companion. Our staff is working with her daily using gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and patience as she learns the ropes. One of the most important lessons for Mavis is learning that people can be kind, predictable, and safe while helping guide her through new experiences. Our staff is doing just that and we`re so grateful for them.A recent note from Mavis`s training session:`Worked with Mavis inside her kennel on basic commands. She responded to `sit` 5/5 times, `lay down` 4/5 times, and `touch` 4/5 times. She did well with the cue `off` when jumping and was able to redirect into a sit. I was also able to kneel at her level, offer affection, and gently pet her neck.`Mavis also happily hopped into the car.We`re so proud of this sweet girl and the progress she`s making. She`s gaining confidence, building trust, and moving forward at a really lovely pace.
