Story
Meet Brother, a charming 8-year-old Pomeranian with a striking brown and tan coat who is looking for his perfect retirement sanctuary. Weighing in at a petite 10.8 pounds, this handsome senior arrived at our facility alongside his best friend, Bubba, and while they aren't technically considered a bonded pair, these two companions would dearly love the opportunity to find a forever home together. Brother is a gentle soul who starts off on the shy side, often taking a moment to observe his surroundings before opening up; however, once he establishes a bond of trust, he transforms into the ultimate, devoted lap dog who craves human connection. He comes already neutered and will be fully up to date on all his age-appropriate vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption, making him completely ready to settle into his new life. If you have room in your heart and your lap for this sweet boy, he is currently available for adoption at 13391 Garner Lane in Chico, CA, where he is patiently waiting to meet his new family. All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses. Come down to Butte Humane Society and meet your next family member today!

Story
Meet Paco – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever Home Paco is a 1-year-old Dachshund mix with a heart as tender as his floppy ears. This sweet boy is shy and timid at first, but once he feels safe, his quiet loyalty and gentle nature shine through. He’s the kind of companion who will curl up beside you during a rainy afternoon and follow you from room to room just to be nearby. Paco thrives in calm, predictable environments and would do best in a home without babies or chickens, as reported by his previous owner. He’s not one for loud chaos, but if you’re someone who appreciates the quiet company of a devoted friend, Paco might be your perfect match. He’s still learning to trust the world, so patience and kindness will go a long way in helping him blossom. In return, you’ll gain a companion who’s deeply grateful for love and stability. 🏡 Ideal Home: Adults or older children who understand gentle boundaries No babies or chickens A peaceful household with lots of love to give If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who just needs a little time and a lot of love, Paco is waiting to meet you. Come say hello—he might be shy, but he’s hoping you’ll be the one to help him feel at home. 💙 All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses.
