Meet Mochi 🍡🐶 Mochi is a 2-year-old male Chihuahua/Basenji mix with a big personality packed into a little body. He came into the shelter with another dog, but since being here he hasn’t enjoyed meeting new canine friends 🐕❌. We believe this may improve once he’s out of the stressful shelter environment and settled into a home of his own 🏡✨. Mochi is a fearful guy at first, and when he’s scared he may nip. Because of this, he needs a patient, understanding adopter who will go slow, respect his boundaries, and let him build trust at his own pace 🐾💙. Experience with shy or fearful dogs would be a big plus 🙌. Once Mochi decides you’re his person, you’re in for something special 💕. He becomes an incredibly loyal little cuddle bug 🛋️🐾 who wants nothing more than to be close to the human he trusts 🤍. The bond he forms is deep and incredibly rewarding ✨. Mochi would do best in a calm, adult-only home 🏡 where he can feel safe, decompress, and finally show his true, loving self 🌱🐕. If you’re willing to give Mochi the time and patience he deserves, he just might give you his whole heart in return ❤️🐾

Ben is a 2 year-old chihuahua mix that loves to play, he has good control when it comes to barking. He can go on walks without a leash and comes back on call. Not overly needy and great with children. Housetrained!

Story
We got jack a couple years ago during a time when my daughter lost her other dog (he ran away), in the midst of that to help her cope we got Jack, a pure bread puppy. He is very cute (even now) and very loving. As the youngest dog we have he has asserted himself as the alpha. He has been a great guard dog also (lives outdoors). My daughter’s other dog returned home and we found ourselves with more than we could handle. We used to always get him groomed and looking good, but it has become a burden and he deserves better.
