Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to go to www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the adoption application*** This sweet little girl is Raya. Raya started life on the Rez. She had a litter of puppies and a run in with a porcupine that left her needing help. Here is what she has to say.... Hi my name is Raya (Ray-uh)! The humans tell me I’m ready to find my furever home! I would love to find a home with a dog friend. I like to rough house and zoom around with toys. I do have a strong prey drive so I can’t live with cats or other small animals. I also love to snuggle the humans and take naps. I get to sleep in bed some nights and I love that but I also sleep in my kennel some nights and don’t mind! I need to find a home that understands dogs with separation anxiety or at least a home willing to learn how to work with that. I would love to have a dog friend that can kennel beside me so I know I can relax. I prefer my plastic kennel over the wire ones. Once I got settled in to my foster home for a few days I relaxed in my kennel and like to chew on my bones when I don’t feel like sleeping. If I could find a home where the humans are around a lot that might also make me more comfortable! If you have a job working from home I won’t complain. I’m kennel trained and house trained, though we were told in a previous home that I did break out of a wire kennel. We were also told that I’d get out of the house and run away. My fosters don’t have trouble with me getting out of the fence or the house but it’s something to know about me. I promise to bring entertainment and love to my furever home. I’m around 3 years old and around 45 lbs so I’m a great size for many people. I have not been kid tested but I can be if my home may have kids! Raya loves deeply and would love to find a home that loves her back just the same. She is guaranteed to add some laughter and love to the right home! Raya is about two and a half and adoption fee is $250.00 She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped November 4, 2024, 8:52 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.   Hey Snoopy!  This little dude came in from a hoarding rescue with a pretty bad case of flea dermatitis to the point he really had no hair on his back half. His hair is growing back in nicely and he should have a full coat back before the snow flies.  Snoopy is a confident guy and would be best in a home with a female dog or as an only dog.  He has so much love to give and his favorite thing to do is to be held on his back like a baby!  We think he would adore being someone's special pup just like Charlie Brown. He would love to go for car rides for pup cups and to check out the town or to just cruise around and look at the changing leaves.  Snoopy is about 10-12 pounds and 3.5 years old.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, wormed and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $300.00 November 3, 2025, 4:43 pm

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Pupacinna!  Look at this adorable little girl.  Pupacinna came in with 4 others from a hoarding house and quickly showed how sweet and grateful she was however she was a little timid so we sent her to a foster home where she really blossomed but is still reserved.  She loves to snuggle under the covers and would do best in a home with pet friends.  She is living with other dogs, cats and just having a great time. She's an easy keeper and a very sweet girl.  At about 10 pounds and just over 3 years old she's a nice size for an apartment or for some one that wants a buddy to go on car rides for pupcups!  Pupacinna is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300.00 December 10, 2025, 3:46 pm
