Meet Bongo: A Little Survivor Looking for His PersonBongo is a 7-year-old Pomeranian with a remarkable story of resilience. He came to our shelter as a severe neglect case several weeks ago. Despite everything he has endured, this little guy has shown us that his spirit remains bright.Once he trusts you, Bongo is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to his people. He enjoys spending time with his foster family, gets along wonderfully with a small female dog and a cat, and is happiest when he`s included in daily life. One of his favorite activities is riding in his stroller and taking in the world around him.Because of his past experiences, Bongo can be forward about settling his boundaries with being picked up and his treats. For these reasons, he needs an adult-only home with an experienced, patient adopter who understands canine body language and is willing to continue building trust at his pace.His ideal home will be calm, predictable, and understanding of his boundaries. He will need creative management, as he is not currently comfortable wearing a collar, harness, or leash, but does love to travel safely in his carrier. In return, his adopter will gain a loyal companion who has already shown just how much love he has to give.If you`re the kind of person who believes that trust is earned, not demanded, and you`re willing to let a deserving dog set the pace, Bongo may be the perfect little companion for you!
