Meet Breaking Benjamin, a five year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix weighing 18 pounds.Breaking Benjamin has been through a lot, but you’d never know it from his sweet and friendly personality. He came to us after possibly being hit by a car, and due to his injuries, one of his legs had to be amputated. Now he’s learning to navigate the world as a tripod—and he’s doing an amazing job adjusting to his new normal.This resilient boy is full of love and ready to share it. He’s incredibly friendly and just wants to be close to his people. One of his cutest features? His ears—they can’t quite decide what they’re doing! Sometimes they stand straight up, sometimes they flop over, and sometimes they do a little bit of both, adding to his irresistible charm.Breaking Benjamin is looking for a home that will give him the love, patience, and support he deserves as he continues to heal and grow in confidence. In return, he’ll give you endless affection and prove every day just how strong and special he is.This pet is available for adoption on 2/26/2026 at 10:40 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
