Story
Teddy Bear was my husband’s dog. He went everywhere with him. He has a history of nipping, not biting as he has no front teeth when picked up.He has become nicer the more I interact with him. I truly believe that he can be changed depending on who adopts him. He would just need some time to adapt and I think he would be OK as he has changed with me. He was attacked at a dog park and he became mean after that. With some tender, loving care, he has changed within the two weeks of me taking care of him. I cannot take him with me where I am going as I have two Service dogs already. My email is kimweathers.kw@gmail.com Please call 623-866-2000

Story
I’m not the original owner as he has passed. Teddy bear was attacked at a dog park and became aggressive. I have 2 dogs already and can’t keep him. He’s sweet as pie once he gets to know you. Please consider him as I have to go to a retirement community and can take him. He’s not my dog. I am moving now and need help or he will be put down. Please help me?

Story
Breaks my heart to write this, but due to declining health and a major life transition, I’m looking for a loving new home for Bandit. She means the world to me, Paid a significant amount for her, not because of her appearance alone, but because of their temperament, companionship, and the joy she brings into a home. Sweet, affectionate, and have been raised in a loving environment. Well-cared for, accustomed to being part of a family, and bring warmth and personality wherever she goes.My priority is ensuring they have stability, love, and a safe environment moving forward.A rehoming fee applies to ensure they go to a serious and responsible home.

Story
Snowball has a personality almost as big as his toy collection. At heart, he’s a lively boy who thrives on treats, playtime, and companionship. While he can be anxious and reactive with strangers at first, once he feels comfortable, his true colors shine - cheerful but also full of sass in the most endearing way. Snowball’s favorite pastime? Toys. He’ll happily hoard them into piles so impressive they’d make a dragon jealous. He’s also great at letting you know when it’s time for a quick walk to stretch his legs and take a potty break. The rest of the time, he’s perfectly content to keep you company, whether that’s playing by your side or curling up for a cozy nap. Because of his reactivity with strangers, adopters will need to meet with our behaviorist before bringing him home. For the right family, Snowball promises endless entertainment, loyal companionship, and a whole lot of fluffy charm. He’s sassy, lovable, and ready to find the people who will appreciate him for exactly who he is. Adoption Requirements: Adults Only My adoption fee is $300 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market

Story
Hi there! My name is Foxy… and I’m ready for my forever home! If you’re reading this, I’m already wagging my tail because it means you might be my person. I’ve been dreaming about you for a long time. I haven’t had the easiest start, but I’ve never stopped believing that the right human is out there waiting for me — someone patient, kind, and excited to help me grow into the amazing dog I know I can be. Let me tell you a little about myself. My Past — and Why I’m So Hopeful About My Future My previous owners weren’t bad people, but they really weren’t able to take care of a dog. Because of that, I missed out on a lot of the training puppies usually get. I didn’t learn how to read other dogs’ signals, and when I first arrived at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, I honestly had no idea how to interact with the pack. If another dog said, “Hey buddy, that’s my food,” or “I need some space,” I just didn’t understand. But guess what? I’ve been learning! The dogs here have been great teachers, and I’ve gotten so much better at doggy manners. I’m proud of myself, and the humans here are proud of me too. What I Know (and What I’m Still Learning) I’m not totally untrained — I promise! I walk nicely on a leash, and I know how to sit when asked. I love people and I’m very social. I enjoy being around humans so much that sometimes I get a little too excited. No one ever taught me that I need to be gentle with my mouth, so I can be a bit mouthy when I’m happy or trying to get attention. I’m not aggressive — just enthusiastic and still learning what’s okay. Because of that, I might be a bit much for small children. I don’t want to think I was trying to bite somebody when I just wanted their attention. I just need someone who will teach me how to be polite and patient, and I promise I’ll try my hardest. ‍ What Kind of Home I’m Hoping For I’m looking for a person (or family) who sees my potential. Someone who understands that I didn’t get the best start, but that I’m eager to learn. I’m smart, I’m loving, and I’m ready to be someone’s loyal companion. I don’t know if I’ve ever met a cat, so that part is a mystery. But with the right introductions and guidance, who knows? One thing you should know: I’m a fluffy guy, and I need regular grooming. If I don’t get brushed, my coat can get matted — and I definitely don’t want that. So if you love a dog who looks sharp and doesn’t mind a spa day, we’ll be a great match. My Health and Vet Info I’ve recently been neutered, I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, and I’ve been microchipped. I’m healthy, happy, and ready to go home with you. ❤️ Why You’ll Love Me I’m a good dog — truly. I just need someone who will help me polish the rough edges. I’m affectionate, goofy, eager to please, and full of love. With the right person guiding me, I’m going to shine. If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you, make you laugh, and grow with you every day, I think we might be perfect for each other. Want to Meet Me? I’d love that more than anything. Please email mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new life together.
