Story
Krampus is a sweet, soulful man. He is gentle and loving, and simultaneously naughty and ready to start a bit of trouble. If you want to be sure your kitchen counters are clean and never leave a dirty dish out, Krampus will get you in line. Krampus cannot be trusted to use a dog door as he can jump a privacy fence. And he will do so! He does well with a stake/tie-out for outside time. He loves playing with dog friends and gets along with nearly everyone he meets. Krampus walks well on a leash and loves going for walks. At 10 years old, he is spry but also loves to lounge. Krampus is Heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment soon. His treatment requires lots of rest and is coordinated and paid for by Big Paws of the Ozarks.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). With her enthusiastic personality, Ritz will thrive with someone patient who’s ready to help her polish her manners. The good news? Ritz takes corrections very well and is motivated to do her best—especially when treats are involved! She absolutely loves being outside, where she can burn off energy and enjoy the fresh air. With consistency, guidance, and plenty of love, Ritz has all the potential to become an amazing, well-mannered companion.Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.
