Story
I got Freddy from Under Dogs in Moab. He was 6 months old at that time, in May of 2024. As of June 2026, that makes him about 2.5yrs old.His “real” name is Alfredo but he responds to Fred and Freddy best.He has tons of energy and loves to go for walks, play, and talks like a husky all the time. He gets several walks every week and plays hard with my families other dogs, but is rarely exhausted.Note: he’s never had a DNA test to know exact breed. In general he is a good listener and does not chew up things he’s not supposed to. He sticks around too - even with doors and such open he isn’t a bolter.I am considering rehoming Freddy with a family who has the time & environment to best take care of him. It seems like he'd be best off as the only animal in a house. In his current environment, w/ 1-2 other dogs, he has gotten into a few bad fights unprompted with dogs which love to play with him.He needs somebody who is able to work through behavioral challenges. He is very smart no doubt.

Story
Kenai is half husky, half cattle dog mix which makes for a fun, active dog! He is looking for a family to match his personality. He loves other friendly dogs and would do great in a home with another dog (but not required). He has been working on training in his foster home and is doing great!! He has basic obedience skills and is trained to be off-leash on the trails. He loves hiking, running, and running alongside you when you bike! He would do best in a home that will continue his training and exercise him regularly. He does have some herding-dog tendencies, and for this reason, we think he would do best in an adult home or a home with older kids (no young kids). Apply to adopt Kenai today! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.
