Story
Hudson was a stray that was brought in by animal control so we don't know his history. Is a Husky or a Malamute mix of some kind, but whatever he is, he's got a big goofy looking head. We guess him to be about 2 years old, and just shy of 70lbs. He was picked up by animal control 9/5/23, and nobody ever came to claim him, so not sure on his history. He's a husky though, in every sense of the word as far as personality and temperament goes. He's a nice dog, happy, and bubbly. But he's independent, and doesn't feel like he needs a lot of input from people. Super active. Has a lot of energy, and does play well with other dogs that match him. Hudson just needs manners, and foundational skills- and he may already have some of them. It's hard for us to say. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Grey Weight: 67 Age: 2yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Or "Gil-bee" as we affectionately call him here at the shelter. He was brought in by someone who said they "found" him with a 15lbs yorkie. Your guess is as good as ours as far as a breed goes. We have him in as a Sharpei mix ... but he's probably a bully breed of some kind that weighs around 45lbs. When he came in, he had a really bad skin infection. Since then, a lot of his hair has regrown, and he looks much better. Gilbert is a fairly calm guy, he's nice, but tends to be more independent. When we tested him with other dogs, he did okay when he was allowed to check the other dog out, but was giving stress signals when the dogs were allowed to approach him. We don't feel comfortable putting him in a "dog-park" environment, and isn't able to go out in playgroup. Though he didn't come in hot, he actually seemed okay to ignore the other dog on his on-leash test. His new owner will just have to be careful with other dogs running up on him. He'll need a owner that is comfortable with management, and that would maybe consider muzzle conditioning him to work on dog social skills. Again, he doesn't give us the impression that he's actively looking to cause problems. He literally rode in a car here with a little dog. He's just defensive. Be aware, and be cautious, and we feel that he'll do great. He was enrolled in the Puppies for Parole program and did well. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 45 Age: 3yrs 8mths 1wks

Story
6/7 week old puppy was a gift but the original person was unaware and unprepared and unfortunately couldn’t home him. I took him in and he’s been in my care the past week, he’s had a checkup at the vet (on November 21st) and got the Necessities (dewormer, and got treated for ticks and flea’s just in case) I just got a new job and don’t have the time/resources (where I live) To be able to home him long term. He’s a very good boy and is halfway potty trained and also does very good in a kennel when I’m at work/ nighttime. He’s half husky half pitbull and he has two different colored eyes; he’s about 3.5 pounds right now.
